Casting Plaster in Moulage and Dermagel

July 10, 2010 10:00am - 3:00pm

Best known in the bodycasting world, Moulage and Dermagel have been Douglas and Sturgess trademark products for over 50 years. Moulage has been used by law enforcement to cast crime scene evidence for decades, known for it’s ability to capture high detail. An added bonus, it can be re-used to cast new impressions dozens of times. Alginate initially gained notoriety at the dentist office, used for attaining in-the-mouth impressions of teeth. Simply mixed with water and applied, Dermagel sets quickly, achieves good detail and is inexpensive.

This workshop focuses on how to mix and cast with these materials, for lifecasting as well as inanimate objects. This is primarily a demonstration seminar with emphasis on step by step procedures. Audience participation required! Change your casting life and learn how to quickly move from mold to positive with this essential workshop. Includes lunch and a complimentary 1 lb. package of Dermagel, so you can run home and do a face casting of your favorite subject!
